1.
The color change in the oil stain of the liquor store parking lot. The glow from the neon sign that glows in the dark. I'ts where your little brother goes to school, and your dreams fell into the public swimming pool. "Don't be afraid of where you live" John Thill
2.
I feel the ocean, i feel the wind in my face. But you're at home sleeping alone in the place where i slept last night. Open your eyes, your outside now.

Do you think in two's or three's, oh do you think in numbers? Biding time for questions that you have no answers. But if you should stop, don't shudder to think, just open your eyes to everything you thought would be so mean. Remember when you were young, and you knew everything, and seventeen meant love or nothing at all.

about

I don't really understand how bands make records, but this record if anything is a summary. Released the day after Christmas in 2008, "Don't Be Afraid of Where You Live" is No Paws upon their creative peak as a 2-piece. Songs like Hills and On a Beach show the two in a positive stride with an emphasis on good things to come, where the stand out track Robert is caught up in former thoughts while highlighting pessimistic feelings towards the people that can hurt you most. "Don't Be Afraid of Where You Live" is simple and often buried, to understand it is to understand a band in a particular place in time and i don't know if it was all meant to be understood.

Originally released on Narf Records in December of 2008.
